2/25/08 -Tubes

All done and all went well! They said fast and they weren't kidding! We arrived at 6:30 am to get checked in. Surgery was scheduled at 7:30 and that is exactly what time they took him. By 7:40 we were chatting with the doctor to hear that everything went well! Doctor said that his fluid was the consistency of almost set Jello! He usually suctions it out but his was too thick. He had to flush his out. Grandma and I sat in the waiting room for maybe 5 more minutes and then they came to get us because he was waking up. So he was out for maybe 15 minutes. By 8 we were on our way home! He played for awhile, as you can see below and then took a nap. Now that he can hear it is like exploring a new world!
All the nurses and staff at the surgery center were AWESOME with him!  They were all playing with and entertaining him!  It went well considering he hadn't eaten since about 7pm!  That first bottle after surgery was a huge point of excitement for him!  It didn't take long for him to suck that one down!
Waiting and killin' time in his hospital gown!  Thanks for going with me mom/grandma!  ;-)
