7/11/07 - 12 weeks old

Holy cow!!! We have survived our first 12 weeks as a family of 4, and are thriving & having a blast! What a joyful blessing/addition this little boy has been to the three of us. We all really enjoy him!!!! We are all excited that he is getting more and more interactive! We love to hang out and play together! Watching my kids play touches my heart so sweetly! It is so basic for now, but still so precious! He smiles all the time now. He is doing better at daycare. He had his first good day today! He also has moved on from the 'screaming the whole drive home from daycare' stage - Thank you God that that was only the first two weeks. He does well in the car... usually! I would turn on bible school songs and Maddie and I would sing about Jesus in an attempt to comfort him and to keep our frustration under control. Belting out songs about Jesus is a guaranteed smile causer and peace deliverer - even with a screaming baby that you have tried everything to comfort. Right now having Luke cry in the car when I can't settle him tops my list of difficult things - the next is leaving him with someone when he is crying. When he cries he needs his mommy- right?! He has also started to let out squeals of delight! Love it. He sleeps really awesome too. Still in his basinett next to our bed since his room is upstairs and ours in on the main level!
